John originally joined Ellipsis Media (the founding company) as an industrial placement for the third year out of four during his studies in 2000 – he achieved a BSc in Computing (1st) from Bournemouth University. After he completed his studies he joined Ellipsis permanently as a web developer and was involved in the early design and implementation of the dotMailer and dotEditor products. He started to focus primarily on dotMailer and became the team leader as the team grew. Ellipsis then became the dotDigital Group plc and John was promoted to Head of Products.
John particularly enjoys working in a growing firm where he can add value to the business through the continual development of exciting and innovative products. He finds the workload very varied and the environment moves quickly as products evolve. So any new recruits need to be able to diversify and move in line with the needs of the growing business. John remains passionate about his work and committed to the success of the business.
